How to Use the PDSA Cycle
1. Plan
Define the problem or opportunity for improvement. Set a clear aim, identify measures, and plan the change you want to test.
2. Do
Implement the change on a small scale. Document what happens and note any unexpected observations.
3. Study
Analyze the data and outcomes. Compare results to your predictions and reflect on what was learned.
4. Act
Decide whether to adopt, adapt, or abandon the change. Use insights to inform the next cycle or scale up successful strategies.
