Age-Friendly Healthcare Webinar Series 4.0

Dakota Geriatrics and Service Providers for Seniors present monthly webinars on Age-Friendly Healthcare for direct care workers and multidisciplinary professionals. Live sessions are scheduled for every third Monday of the month at 4:00 pm Central through Zoom.

Webinar Series Objectives

  • Learn about the key components of the chronic disease management
  • Improve geriatrics care for older adults
  • Create a network among local healthcare professionals
  • Earn free educational credits for those who attend the LIVE webinars (social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing)

Continuing Education Credits

Attendees can claim credit upon participation in the live session and completion of the mandatory evaluation form following the program. This activity is approved for 1 contact hour per session (up to a max of 9 contact hours) by the following Boards:

  • Social Work: Department of Geriatrics at the University of North Dakota is a board approved provider as approved by North Dakota Board of Social Worker Examiners.
  • Physical Therapy: This course meets the unit standards for continuing competence activity per the North Dakota Board of Physical Therapy. One unit of CC activity will be awarded for every 1 hour of coursework.
  • Occupational Therapy: Each session would count for 1.00 hour of continued competency for licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants as approved by North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapist Practice.
  • Nursing: This activity is approved for 9.0 contact hours (1.0 per session) by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
